"@PredictSwan: @toughLoveforx Excellent comparison. Design is nothing more than fluid problem solving @rotkapchen @ddrrnt @NEMETICS" in this twitter exchange.
EMPATHIZE: Work to fully understand the experience of the user for whom you are designing. Do this through observation, interaction, and immersing yourself in their experiences.
DEFINE: Process and synthesize the findings from your empathy work in order to form a user point of view that you will address with your design.
IDEATE: Explore a wide variety of possible solutions through generating a large quantity of diverse possible solutions, allowing you to step beyond the obvious and explore a range of ideas.
PROTOTYPE: Transform your ideas into a physical form so that you can experience and interact with them and, in the process, learn and develop more empathy.
TEST: Try out high-resolution products and use observations and feedback to refine prototypes, learn more about the user, and refine your original point of view.
Comparison with the Standard Nemetic Model from the Nemetic Institute of Art and Science Kolkata.
Nemetics: Notice the changes from no Mind.
Since Intent is the core issue ask What is the Intent of the actors in the situation? Which intents are being realized? Which are not? What is the leader /researcher's Intent? fully understand the experience is only possible for the actor who has the lived experience. Slivers of that experience are visible through empathy and asking what decisions do the actors have to make. In general as long as things are running along smoothly there is no desire for innovation. We say focus on the changes because when something changes, especially for the worse, the need for an innovative response radically increases.

Nemetics: Engage with the Flow.
Dschool: DEFINE: Process and synthesize the findings from your empathy work in order to form a user point of view that you will address with your design."
Nemetics: Mull the Interactions.
In every situation we look at the patterns of communication and the constraints to communication flows. What precisely are the mechanisms of exchange? Precisely how do the constraints impede or encourage which patterns of communication.
DSchool: IDEATE: Explore a wide variety of possible solutions through generating a large quantity of diverse possible solutions, allowing you to step beyond the obvious and explore a range of ideas.
Nemetics: In the absence of the actors' Intent, this can take you down the wrong path. In any case a solution is "good" when it realizes the Intents of all the stakeholders and is judged as the Benefits are worth the Cost and the probabilities of Risk.
Dschool: PROTOTYPE . . . TEST:
Nemetics highlights the fact that "Thinking/Doing" is necessarily an iterative process. The cycle of Notice.Engage.Mull. Exchange in practice is Notice.Engage.Mull. Exchange Notice.Engage.Mull. Exchange Notice.Engage.Mull. Exchange Notice.Engage.Mull. Exchange.... It is thinking strategy that points to continuous improvement. In Complex Adaptive Situations there are no solutions, only improvements. Nemetics sees that Intent is the context for all the steps of a Thinking Process. The Intent of the change maker and the Intent of the actor's in the situation. With every N.E.M..E cycle the Intent is modified based on all the actors ( stakeholders.) Importantly the Intent of the leadership is also modified after each cycle.
